What we collect

We only collect what you choose to give us, plus basic technical data our website needs to run.

  • Enquiry, site survey and download forms. Your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address and message. You may also tell us your organisation, city and project details.
  • Drawings and files. Drawings, BOQs, tender documents or photos you send us with a site survey or BOQ request. You may send them through our forms, by email or on WhatsApp.
  • Newsletter sign-up. Your email address.
  • WhatsApp, phone and email. If you contact us this way, we receive your number or email address and whatever you send us.
  • Technical data. Our web server and security tools record your IP address and browser type. They also record the pages you visit and when.

We need your name and at least one way to contact you (phone or email) to answer your enquiry. All other fields are optional.

We do not ask for sensitive information such as health, religion or financial details. Please do not send it through our forms.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

  • To reply to your enquiry. This includes giving you advice or a quotation. Lawful basis: steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract.
  • To arrange and carry out a site survey. Lawful basis: steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract, and then the contract itself.
  • To review your drawings or BOQ. Lawful basis: the same as for site surveys.
  • To send you our newsletter. Lawful basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time.
  • To keep our website secure and prevent abuse. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in running a safe, working website. Legitimate interests means a genuine business reason that does not override your rights.
  • To keep project, financial and tax records. Lawful basis: our legal obligations.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become a project: up to 2 years, then deleted.
  • Drawings and files you send us: for the life of the enquiry or project, then deleted with it.
  • Project and financial records: at least ten financial years. Section 220 of the Companies Act 2017 requires this. We keep them longer if a tax or legal case about them is still open. We then delete them securely.
  • Newsletter email addresses: until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.
  • Server and security logs: normally no longer than 90 days.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We only share it when we need to:

  • Service providers. Companies that help us run the website and email, such as our web hosting and email providers. They may only use it to provide their service to us.
  • Project partners and suppliers. People working on your project, only with your agreement.
  • The law. When the law requires it, for example a valid request from a court or government authority.

International transfers

Some of our providers may process your information outside Pakistan. These include Google (maps), Meta (WhatsApp) and our web hosting and email providers.

These providers say they protect personal data with safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. These are standard contract terms approved by data protection authorities. They require the receiver to protect the data. The providers also run their own security programmes. We choose established providers, but we cannot control how they run their services. Their own privacy policies explain the details. Contact us for details of the safeguards we rely on.

Third-party services

Some features on our website are provided by other companies. They have their own privacy policies.

  • WhatsApp (Meta). Our WhatsApp button opens a chat on WhatsApp. Messages you send there are handled under WhatsApp’s terms.
  • Google Maps. Our Contact page shows an embedded Google map. Google may set cookies and collect data when the map loads.
  • Social media links. Links to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Pinterest take you to those sites. Their own policies then apply.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We keep them to a minimum.

  • Essential cookies. Our caching tool (LiteSpeed Cache), security plugin and page builder (Elementor) may set cookies. They may also store small items in your browser. Caching means storing ready-made copies of our pages so they load faster. These cookies keep the site fast and secure. Most only apply to logged-in site administrators.
  • Third-party cookies. The embedded Google map may set Google cookies.
  • Analytics. We do not currently use analytics or advertising trackers. If this changes, we will update this policy first.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, although some features may not.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information:

  • Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
  • A website firewall helps protect the site.
  • We keep WordPress, our theme and our plugins updated.
  • Only staff who need your information to handle your enquiry or project can see it.

No website is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights and requests

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy.
  • Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Delete your information, unless we must keep it by law or for a contract.
  • Restrict how we use your information, for example while we check a correction.
  • Give you your information in a common format that a computer can read. You can also ask us to send it to another organisation. This is called portability, meaning you can take your data elsewhere.
  • Stop using your information where we rely on our legitimate interests (objection).
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, for example to the newsletter. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

Email info@soundkrafted.com or call +92 300 8467101. We will reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. You can also complain to another relevant regulator, where one applies to you.

The law in Pakistan

Pakistan does not yet have a full data protection law. The Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016 (PECA) has related offences. Under sections 3 to 5, it is a crime to access, copy or interfere with data without authorisation. We handle your information with this in mind. Pakistan’s Personal Data Protection Bill is still a draft and is not yet law. We will review this policy if it is passed.

Children

Our website is for businesses and organisations. It is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
