The challenge

The Darbar Hall is a historic hall used for formal official meetings. The Secretariat wanted to move these meetings to a paperless format, with documents on screen instead of in print, while keeping every speaker clearly audible. Audio and display technology had to come together as one system, in a way that suited the dignity and architecture of the hall.

Our solution

We designed and integrated a paperless conference solution that brings conference audio and interactive displays into one system:

  • Taiden conference audio for the chair and participants
  • Dahua interactive displays
  • integration of audio and displays for on-screen document viewing and sharing
  • cable management planned around the hall's historic interior
  • testing, commissioning and handover

Why it matters

A paperless hall saves printing, keeps every participant on the same version of a document and makes large meetings easier to run. In a heritage space, the challenge is to add that capability without changing the character of the room.
