Conference Room Soundproofing in Pakistan

The short answer

Conference room soundproofing stops private discussions leaking out and keeps corridor, plant and street noise from getting in. It works on every path at once: walls, ceiling void, doors, glazing and ducts. Sound Krafted plans and installs it for boardrooms, committee rooms and video-meeting rooms in Lahore, Islamabad and across Pakistan.

A meeting room has two jobs. It must keep what is said inside the room, and it must let everyone in the room, and on the call, hear each other clearly. Most rooms fail on one of the two. Our team has worked in acoustics since 2021, and we treat the room and the audio as one design, so both jobs are done properly.

Conference room where soundproofing keeps discussions private

Two problems, two different fixes

ProblemWhat you noticeWhat fixes it
Sound leaking out or inVoices heard in the corridor or next office; traffic, generators or AC noise in the roomSoundproofing: heavier or decoupled partitions, sealed acoustic doors, laminated or double glazing, lined ducts, treated ceiling voids
Echo inside the roomVoices sound hollow; remote participants struggle; microphones pick up the roomAcoustic treatment: ceiling tiles, fabric or slatted wall panels, placed by calculation

Panels on the wall will not stop a conversation being heard next door. A new door will not fix echo. Most rooms need some of both, and the survey tells you how much of each.

Where meeting rooms leak sound

Sound takes the weakest path, so a strong wall with a weak door performs like a weak wall. The common leaks we find in Pakistani office buildings are:

  • Partitions that stop at the false ceiling. Sound travels over the top through the ceiling void into the next room.
  • Hollow-core or ungasketed doors. A gap under the door undoes most of the wall.
  • Single-glazed glass fronts. Popular in modern offices, but they need laminated or double glazing to give real privacy.
  • Shared ducts and diffusers. Air-conditioning ducts carry speech from room to room unless they are lined or fitted with attenuators.
  • Services penetrations. Cable trays, sockets back to back and pipe openings in partitions.

How we soundproof a conference room

  1. Free phone consultation. Tell us the room size, the building and what is going wrong. Call or WhatsApp +92 300 8467101.
  2. Paid site survey. We visit, check every sound path, note the finishes and services, and arrange background-noise measurements where they help the design.
  3. Design and BOQ. You receive a treatment plan and a bill of quantities you can price, compare or put to tender.
  4. Supply and installation. Our team installs partitions, doors, glazing details, ceiling and wall treatment, working out of hours where the office must stay open.
  5. Testing and handover. We check the finished room against the agreed aim and hand over the documents your facilities team needs.

What we use

  • Full-height partitions built to the slab, or ceiling-void barriers where the partition cannot be rebuilt
  • Acoustic doors with perimeter seals and drop seals
  • Laminated or double glazing for glass fronts and windows
  • Lined ducts and attenuators on shared air-conditioning runs
  • Acoustic ceiling tiles, fabric-wrapped wall panels or timber slat panels, chosen to suit the finish of the room
  • Reversible, surface-mounted fixings in heritage or rented buildings

We choose ratings and quantities per project from the manufacturer's data sheets. You will see the figures in the BOQ, not a generic promise.

Design the room and the audio together

A treated room lets microphones pick up speech clearly and cuts feedback on video calls. Where the room needs microphones, speakers or a screen, we supply them in the same project, so one team is answerable for how the room performs. Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our soundproofing and acoustic solutions.

Treat every path sound can take, not just the walls. That means partitions built to the slab, sealed acoustic doors, laminated or double glazing, lined ducts and treated ceiling voids. The weakest of these sets the result, so a site survey should find all of them before any material is bought.

No. Acoustic panels absorb echo inside the room; they do not block sound passing through a wall or door. Privacy needs mass, airtightness and decoupling in the walls, doors and ceiling. Panels are still useful, because they make speech in the room clearer and calls easier to follow.

Yes. Single glass is usually the weak point, so we replace or upgrade it to laminated or double glazing, seal the frame and door, and treat the ceiling void above. You keep the open, glazed look with much better privacy.

Yes. Two of our recent projects are in heritage rooms: the Darbar Hall at the Punjab Civil Secretariat and the SAQ 90 Office at the Chief Minister's Office. We use surface-mounted panels, reversible fixings and discreet cable routes, and plan the work with the building's administration and security staff.

Yes. We supply and install digital conference systems, speakers, displays and video-conferencing equipment with the acoustic work, so a single team is responsible for how the room sounds and performs.

Yes. Our office is in Lahore and we work across Pakistan, including Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Surveys outside Lahore are arranged after the free phone consultation.

Yes. Our clients include IWMI in Lahore and FAO, GIZ and Adam Smith International in Islamabad. We follow each organisation's procurement and documentation requirements.
